Scott C. Cooper, O.D., M.Ed., F.A.A.O.
Dr. Cooper received his Doctor of Optometry and Master of Education in Visual Function and Learning degrees from Pacific University in 1990 and 1993, respectively. After completing two teaching fellowships, he has been on faculty at Pacific University College of Optometry since 1992, teaching in class, laboratory, clinical and research settings while continuing to deliver patient care part-time in independent practice settings. He is a fellow in the American Academy of Optometry, was awarded the honor of Distinguished University Professor in 2018, and has served as the Faculty Chair for the College of Optometry since 2016. His primary interests fall under the umbrella of the visual process including optimizing visual performance, visual perception, vision and learning, and case analysis. A longtime advocate of advancing optometry world-wide, he has supported international optometric education in many roles and locations.
